Richard Donelle has been involved within the Jan/San industry for over 30 years. He began his career in direct sales with a North American chemical manufacturer. He developed expertise with a diverse client base within a broad range of industry sectors including health care, education, BSC, grocery stores and office buildings. Early in his sales career the corporate direction of the manufacturing company shifted from a direct sales model to a distribution based model. Recognized within the organization, Richard was promoted to the position of sales manager accountable for the transition of direct accounts into a distribution model throughout Ontario, Canada.

After 5 years of marketing the company brand and establishing a private brand program, Richard left the manufacturing side of business and started his own distribution company in Ontario Canada called Superior Solutions. Superior Solutions as a company specialized in the distribution of chemicals and cleaning equipment. Superior’s success followed from the foundational business principles of attracting the best employees and the best product lines which parlayed into attracting the best clients. After 15 years of success, Superior expanded and opened three additional branches; one within Ontario and others in the provinces of Quebec and Nova Scotia.

Richard has been a sought after industry consultant and has served in an advisory capacity for companies representing paper, chemicals, and equipment market segments. Over the course of his career he has contributed to the strategic direction of several companies within a consultant capacity.

Richard (Superior Solutions) was one of the founding members of a prominent business group named SMA (Strategic Market Alliance) which is a member owned cooperative. Richard was the Co-Chair of the Strategic Account Committee for several years and today SMA is a North American marketing/purchasing company with over 50 members.

After 27 years as President / CEO, Richard sold Superior Solutions and looked forward to new career challenges. Currently Richard has taken on the position with CPI as the Vice President of Sales for Canada.
